Hakuna Matata !!

Dear Parents,
The children were very keen on their topic of  Rumble in the Jungle and thank you to those parents that helped with our party! The children had lots of fun and learned all sorts about their topic.

Our water monitors ensured our plants were always watered, we talked about how we use water around the home, why we should use it responsibly and discussed recycling.
The children were able to make rhyming poems about water and animals, and we discussed animal habits during the day and night.

We recorded how much water we drink as the children have been very interested in weight and measure. We weighed ourselves, recorded height, hand span and various other mathematical activities.

Artwork for our display.

Spellings are everywhere.

Adventurous jungle animals.

How we can travel.

The children have learnt to play games themselves.

Fine motor skills.

Deepman found a bug outside, they discussed what it would need to stay alive.

Looking at skins and designing headbands.

Ploy knows how to tidy if she makes a mess.

We practiced moving like different animals !

The children enjoy pick up sticks, it helps improve focus and coordination with both hands.

Twenty-four feet is puddlenuts in Giant Country - Roald Dahl

Dear Parents,

This week we have been further exploring Jack and the beanstalk, different worlds and cultures with the creatures that live there.

The children enjoyed critiquing their artwork.

Looking closely at similarities and differences is a skill for life.

Planting beanstalks seeds!

The children were aware of each step in the process and followed well.

Making cages to contain the creatures from the Giants Kingdom.

Jack fell from the beanstalk, thankfully there was a team of nurses on hand to supervise.

Child Initiated day, E'to was learning the names from his favourite toys.

Plant soup outside.

The children like to tally their options when they have filled the bucket, ensuring a fair choice for their prize also adding a little maths to their activity

Swimming in the sea.

The children had a Pizza Party for their prize!
