Goldilocks and the week gone by.

Dear Parents,

We've been exploring all kinds of activities this past week. Exploring branding, design and form, colours and textures, arranging and sharing and a hearty sprinkle of phonics and writing. The children are now autonomously bringing writing to their own activities and art work, proud of the fact they can label and write lists.

On Monday we were treated to a visit from Eto's Mum, who followed on from her discussion about cleanliness. We explored testing how clean our hands were using a blacklight.

Some children had to practice cleaning their hands several times.

Checking for cleanliness.

We learnt how to wash our hands effectively.

Thanks to the two parents that sent in photos of their houses (last weeks homework). If you haven't had time; could you either print and send with your child, or just attach to an email and send over asap ( park@ascot.ac.th ).

On a learning walk we were searching for branding around the school. Children were able to sound out some of the brands, assessing what the brand could be related to, by searching for hints in the pictures.

Ice cream - very popular.

Qiv and Et'o looking at our sight words.

Hong inviting people to count out the animals in his book.

Lewis's marketing research suggested all children like ice cream!

Peam knew we could increase sales by donning the right attire.

The shop took form over the week, with help from different children.

Preparing goods for the shop.

We spent time investigating height,

...sharing

and different ways of designing.

Preparing decorations for Halloween...

Role play is a continuous exercise in class!

Minnie learning to mix media in a responsible way, afterwards we talked about resources and how to use them. An important learning curve.

Investigating shape

Tidying up at break time.

Folding and making props.

Qiv has FINALLY managed to climb all by herself (under close supervision may I add).

Deepman engaging with tidying up.

Ploy learning about balance.

Eto's wonderful archways, learning about shape and physics.

The children really like to write on the board. They drew scenarios about Goldilocks getting stuck!

Qiv's sorbet dish.

Children always have access to age appropriate work on computers.

Teamwork is an important part of our days.

The children have been having an extremely busy week, keeping everyone rushed off their feet, I hope the next week is even better.
Thanks for dropping by and please do engage with the homework activities.

Kind regards,

Douglas and the RP team.
