Home learning.

  • Practice sounding out all the letters of the alphabet. Thats using the sounds, not the letter names. eg. for the letter t  say  "/tuh/"  not  "/tee/"

  • Ask your child to draw a picture of their favourite celebration over the year. This might be Loy Kratong; Christmas; Songkran; their birthday...?

  • Make a Christmas craft children can bring to school. I have added some ideas below, and of course you can think of your own.

...and then it was Loy Kratong!

Dear Parents,

Thank you for sending your children dressed so nicely for Loy Kratong. They were all very tired afterwards, but very much enjoyed their day.
Over the week we have been following our story of The Very Snowy Christmas and looking at Mouse-Ness Monsters and trails.

Maths at play bilds very strong connections for children, as well as improving their physical abilities.

The children are very able at challenging themselves, indoors and out!

The children's interest in planes and maps linked in with their love of racing each other.

We're 5 stockings in, just 5 to go.

Qiv organising her Ice-cream sales.

Our sensory play took Applehead Ted to a dark place; the washing machine.

Ted loves tactile play too.

Our children know how to access technology and are learning to print out by themselves.

Mathematical paper chains.

The children enjoy looking at plants and animals very much, as well as looking at things in fine detail.
We talked about the properties of plants, looking at similarities and differences. We then drew repsentations of them.

Making soup for role-play.

We are able to access resources by ourselves independently.

Which Christmas creature do you think it is?

Making shapes.

Minnie found a way to get the toys from the wheelbarrow into her Castle.

We are always studying. The boys wanted to find out peoples favourite comic characters .

And then it was Loy Kratong !

...I still dont know how to turn pictures upside down on here, homework for me!

After we had finished playing lots of games and making a kratong, the children helped dress our Christmas tree.

We love to hold building competitions!

After another exciting week in RP, the children have been working so hard. Today we had our first full rehearsal in the Secondary Gym. Next we have a dress performance, and please ensure your child has their wrapped book and costume with us ready for it.

Kind regards,

Douglas and the RP Team.
