Look through your fridge together and make a shopping list. See what you need to buy for the coming week. Challenge your child to try and find obvious items such as milk and yogurt in the supermarket.
Search around the house for objects that are 'dull' and 'shiny' group the objects and make a display.
Practice writing words 'ss' and 'll' words such as sell, bell, well, doll, tell, less, hiss, mass, pass, toss.
