A space odyssey.

Dear Parents,

The children have become very involved with their space topic, mastering much of their new vocabulary.
The children have particularly enjoyed the songs we have been playing and are learning to sing much clearer at speed.

We have been learning about The Planets and what they're like. We have investigated rogue planets such as PSR J1719 which is made up of diamonds, and other planets where it rains rocks! The children have been interested in aliens, we have explored different body types and attributes, also making paintings of them and labeling the interesting parts.

Do have a look at the NASA kids site with your child as they will love the opportunity to look around it with you. We have been discussing what astronauts do while up in space and examining how to get back to Earth.

Making Alien bodies!

Hosting a space party, led by E'to and Qiv.

How to break up asteroids (Kitkats) into many pieces.

Learning about asteroid impacts.

Space research using IT.

Making space name tags. What would your space name be?

Setting off in our rocket! We love to visit Neptune, the gas giant.

The children voted for dodge-ball once again! Lewis won an excellent game for his team.

Deepman playing with his Astronaut friends!

Walking on the moon...

Dodging the asteroid shower.

I hope your child has had some good questions at home, they have shown interest in the topic and we hope to have a trip to the Bangkok Planetarium shortly.

Thanks,

Douglas and the RP Team.
