What do you do if you see a Spaceman? Park in it!

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to the second half of Term Two. I hope you had a well rested break and enjoyed spending time with your children.
We have jumped straight in to the topic of Space and will be visiting a Planetarium and building on our current knowledge!

We have been looking at several songs such as this spacemen song and playing  games to develop our IT knowledge and understanding.

Exploring the properties of balloons (Neptune and Venus).

Helping develop our role play, encouraging ownership.

Some photos of International Day.

3 cups - choose wisely!

Our Coconut Shy.

Splat the Rat !

Apple bobbing, (with mini-apples, more commonly known as grapes).
Also, I found out grapes don't float, along with many other berries due to the density formula (D=M/V) against the density formula of water which is approximately 1g/ml.

Even the staff wanted a go!!

We went to Secondary to watch performances and take part in their class activities.

Thank you kindly to all the parents who made such an effort. The children really appreciate your participation and we had a great party at the end of the day.

Back to creating our space station, the children thought of lots of practical ideas with some help from Chris Hadfield whom you may have seen in recent media.

We have been creating art work and exploring media.

I hope to see you soon, and look forward to meeting in the Learning Journey sessions.

Thanks,

Douglas and the RP Team.
