• Ask all the adults in the house what when their birthday is, and what they are hoping to get. 

• Role play packing a bag and going on holiday. What do you need to take?

• Look at all the  clocks and watches in your house, what is the same, what is different. What is the short hand for?

• Make small pieces of card with the SOUNDS s   a   t   p   i   n   u  m    and make three letter words. This doesn't matter if it is not a word, just practice sounding out each sound, then ask your child to try and say the word.
