Home learning

  • Take a picture of the place you live and SEND it to school, either by printing it off, or you can just email it to me (park@ascot.ac.th) you can just copy the picture and add it to an email straight from your phone.
This can be with the family, your child, or just the property, whichever. This will be added to our mapping display.

  • Talk to your child about lists and show a selection if you can, even just receipts from your purse. Things like ingredients on kitchen products, titles inside a lounge magazine, listings on the T.V etc
Please make a selection of lists with your child. These can be numbers, shopping lists, family names or anything that really interests your child: Dinosaurs/ supermen etc.

  • Play a game of I-Spy with your child.
Please use words starting with s a t p i n m g o and use predictably easy ones words. You will know best the level of challenge your child can handle.

  • Use post-its and make labels around the house. Allow your child to do the writing. If they are struggling, give them at least 20 seconds to think (thats a long time). Then prompt with the first sound (letter). Have fun with it, its a great activity.
