Peace at last. ...really?

Dear Parents,

I hope to find you well and you have been hearing interesting stories from class. After we finished our 'Ourselves' topic we started a new two week cycle.
We have been looking at Peace at last, which has helped with tuning our ears in to sounds and noises (very important for phonics at this early time in the year).

There has been a lot of child centered activities along side, which we have run with and included in our topical work, as per below:

Our PSED (Personal, Social and emotional development) goal to accept the needs of others, and take turns to share resources has come into play when using limited resources.

They children were all very excited to show off their cutting skills.

We have been learning about attachment, circling and sharing. I hope you managed to complete the homework!

Rich has been building a house with all the different rooms, you can try this at home anytime. Ask your child to teach you.

Peam had captured an elephant and was teaching him how to walk properly.

Last week Qiv's Mum very kindly came in to read us an exciting story about A Grumpy Dragon. The children very much enjoyed it and took part very well. Thank you kindly for coming to see us.
Each week the children decide who will come into school to read to us.

Hoopla! We started a game outside...which reached 7m. Can you hoopla to 7m, personally I found it challenging!

Peam making his shark mask

Iron man in the making. We have been investigating props this week!

...and complete!

We have several children interested in rotary motion so they helped build this interactive game.

Minnie loves to get messy!

Helping to build Fort's.

Hong learning to ride our challenging scooters, they're not as easy as you think.

Keep posted for further updates and as usual feel free to pop in anytime. Kind regards.

Douglas and RP.
